About
I'm Nora — a product designer working mostly on interfaces for tools that engineers, researchers, and other people-who-build use day to day. I started writing things down here because I noticed that whenever I tried to explain a design decision out loud, I understood it better afterward. So this is a public version of that habit.
The notes are short. They aren't tutorials and they aren't trends. Mostly they're attempts to articulate why a particular choice felt right, after the fact, once the deadline pressure has lifted. Sometimes I'm wrong, and a year later a note ages badly. I leave those up too.
What you'll find here
- Notes on typography, layout, and the small decisions that compound.
- Reflections on craft and process — what I'm trying to do less of, what I'm trying to do more of.
- Occasional reading lists when something genuinely shifts how I think.
What you won't find
- "10 design trends for next year." There are better places for that.
- Tool reviews. The tools matter much less than people think.
- Hot takes. By the time I write something down, the heat is gone.

There's no newsletter, no comments, no analytics. If something here lands, the best signal you can give me is to go make something — or to send the link to someone who might be in the same trench you were in last week.
